VIDEO PREMIERE: Sally Jane ft Luke O'Shea - 'Bombs & Bullets'

Just in time for Remembrance Day, West Australian country artist Sally Jane has shared the music video for her powerful new song, Bombs & Bullets, featuring Luke O’Shea.

In the video, which exclusively premieres on Countrytown today, Jane’s emotionally resonant vocals are showcased against the backdrop of veterans who have served in the Australian Army. She sings and plays the acoustic guitar on wide-open, green plains, with the singer expressing her hope that the veterans start to feel peace.

As footage of wars is interspersed throughout the video, Luke O’Shea joins Jane as the song builds up its layers further, introducing electric guitar and drums and more devastating footage of bombs and fighting.

Jane’s new song is a heartfelt tribute to veterans and their families, inspired by her personal experiences and dedication to her local veteran community.

Bombs & Bullets was born from a collaboration between Sally Jane and Luke O’Shea during the DAG Songwriters Retreat.

Sally Jane is the daughter of a Naval veteran who served 24 years full-time and another 15 years as a reservist in the Australian Army. Sharing that her father’s service to the country helped shape her understanding of sacrifice, she explained, “I want veterans and their families to know they are supported.

“I have seen the good and bad side of returned service. I know there is a lot of support out there, but it’s really hard to access, so some people don’t know how to access and other people find it too hard.”

Jane said of the song, “Working with Luke was a fantastic experience. His passion really brought out the best in me during the songwriting process. We put a lot of thought into making sure the song resonated with our intended audience.”

With Bombs & Bullets, Sally Jane hopes that her message will encourage listeners to reach out to friends and loved ones and be there for the veterans in their lives.
