Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist Dingo has released his new single Nightwire, a rich and free-spirited ode to life on the road and the restless beauty of a travelling musician’s life.
The track marks the first taste of Dingo’s forthcoming second album, set for release in early to mid 2026.
Written during quiet moments between tours, Nightwire carries the easy confidence of an artist who’s seen the world from the window of a van and found poetry in the passing landscapes.
Recorded with acclaimed producer Jordan Power (known for his work with Powderfinger, The Living End, Lady Gaga, and Bruce Springsteen) the single captures the balance between freedom and reflection that defines Dingo’s songwriting.
“I am so excited to be releasing my new song Nightwire into the world,” says Dingo. “This song is so close to my heart and represents all the freedoms I love about living the life of a travelling musician. Produced by incredible engineer/producer Jordan Power, it’s such a thrill for me to be able to share this with everyone!”
That sense of authenticity runs deep in Dingo’s story. Known to many as the longtime guitarist in Kasey Chambers’ band, his signature blend of tone and feel has been woven into her acclaimed live shows for years. Before that, he fronted the roots duo Grizzlee Train, who took home the Byron Bay Bluesfest Busking Competition win back in 2015.

When he’s not on the road, Dingo runs The Rabbit Hole Recording Studio on the NSW Central Coast, producing and engineering for a diverse range of artists including Mitchell Steele, Faith Williams, Owen Campbell, Beccy Cole, and Kasey Chambers.
The Nightwire music video takes viewers on a dreamy river escape that starts as a peaceful paddle boat ride before taking a mischievous turn. It’s a gorgeous setting with a playful, unexpected ending that’s delightfully wrong in all the right ways.
