Rising Canadian country artist Catie St. Germain has premiered the official music video for her powerful new single Grow right here on Countrytown. The track is a deeply personal one that taps into themes of resilience, self belief, and navigating life’s harder moments.
“Those moments shape our ability to embrace the highs when they come. My hope is that Grow inspires people to sit with the hard times and hold onto hope that things will be okay.” says St. Germain.
Following the success of her previous single Good Girl Gone Bad Mom, St. Germain leans into vulnerability with Grow. Pairing her signature soaring vocals with raw and honest lyricism. At its core, the track is about confronting struggle and finding strength through adversity.
“This song means so much to me, not only as an artist who sometimes feels like I’m struggling to be heard, but also as a mother of a child with special needs," says St. Germain. “It’s a reminder that whether it’s the lows of this business, my son working so hard to reach milestones, or anyone facing life’s challenges, it’s in those struggles that true growth, resilience and understanding are found.”
Directed by Brett Anderson, the accompanying music video reflects the emotional gravity of the track through its cinematic storytelling and intimate visuals. Giving viewers a real glimpse behind the curtain into St. Germain’s life, it’s shot in a soft warm light which once again mirrors the sentiment of the song. It’s the little details like that which make this video such a captivating watch.
