Countrytown has your first look at the accompanying music video of Hinterland’s latest single ‘Treating Me Good’ in this exclusive premiere.
Following on from last year’s banger, Giddy Up, Hinterland has dropped Treating Me Good – and we have your first look at the accompanying music video in this exclusive premiere.
The colourful music video was shot in Shushu Boose Boutique, Gold Coast Music: Musical Instrument Store and Maryon's Shoes in Queensland.
Hinterland says, “This video for Treating Me Good is easily the most fun of all our videos. We couldn’t stop laughing at ourselves and really enjoyed hamming it up for the camera. Our director Nigel Jones (of NKJ Studio in Brisbane) had a really great vision for this clip, and he absolutely knocked it out of the park. We’re excited for people to see this silly, fun side of the band and hope they get a kick out of the story - especially the twist at the end!”
Written by all three band members and produced by lead guitarist Robbie Bostock himself, Treating Me Good tells the tale of lavishly treating oneself in order to make up for being neglected by an ex-lover.
Hinterland adds, “We are so proud of this track that we wrote, arranged and produced all by ourselves. We worked hard to create a Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert vibe (some of our favourite artists!) and tell a unique story and we hope you enjoy it!!”
The track is laced with exceptional musicianship from lead guitarist Robbie Bostock and violinist Rachel Bostock, whilst Jesse Emmanuel’s gritty, sassy vocals tell the tale of lavishly treating oneself in order to make up for being neglected by an ex-lover. With a nostalgic rock’n’roll sound reminiscent of Brad Paisley and cheeky lyrics in the style of Miranda Lambert, “Treating Me Good” is set to be a stand-out track for those who like their country music BIG and unapologetic.
