Happy Belated Birthday Hayley!

To celebrate Hayley Jensen’s milestone birthday this past weekend (7th of January, to be exact), we thought we would count down her top five television performances. No easy feat as she has spent the best part of two decades honing her craft and collaborating with the best in the business from across the globe.
However, before she was receiving Golden Guitar nominations (including for ‘Female Artist of the Year’) and putting out bangers like Fireworks, Just Gonna Party, Karma, Shake My Bones and Four Boots, Hayley also graced the small screen on season 2 of Australian Idol, where she placed fourth, and season 3 of The Voice Australia as part of Kylie Minogue’s team.
She’s released three studio albums to date including 2018’s Turning Up The Dial, which was the third highest selling Australian Country Album according to ARIA, and her latest, Breakin’ Hearts, which when released in October 2021 shot up to #1 on the ARIA Country Album Chart. Anyway, Happy Belated Birthday Hayley!
Hayley joined her fellow season 2 finalists of Australian Idol, including winner Casey Donovan and runner-up Anthony Callea, for an Australian Day Medley live at the Australia Day Concert in 2005. The medley includes Australia’s national anthem Advance Australia Fair and I Am Australian.

Hayley joined Casey Donovan, Doug Williams and Darren Mapes on the ‘Back To Bacharach Tour’ in 2014. The duo performed the Dusty Springfield classic Wishin’ and Hopin’ on Channel 7’s The Morning Show. The tour setlist also featured well known songs by artists such as Tom Jones, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, The Carpenters, Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, Dean Martin and more.
Hayley auditioned for The Voice Australia in 2014 with the hit dance-pop track Freefallin’, originally released by Australian-singer-songwriter, Zoë Badwi. She impressed coaches will.i.am and Kylie Minogue. She joined Kylie's team who later described her as ‘the whole package’ – and we tend to agree!).
Okay, we cheated a little here, but we still wanted to include it. Hayley made her debut performance on the main stage at Tamworth Country Music Festival presented by KIX Country & Country Rocks in 2022. Songs featured in the video include Breakin' Hearts, Just Gonna Party, Better Than That and Karma as backed by the house band, featuring Glen Harrison & Jason Willoughby on guitar, James Edge on drums and Joel Stewart on bass.
Hayley sang the Sarah McLachlan classic Angel during the semi-finals of Australian Idol. In 2020, she released the song as a duet with legendary Australian country artist Beccy Cole, which hit #1 on the iTunes Country charts. It was a special side project for Hayley as it was a fan favourite song that she performed on Idol 15 years before, chosen by her late father.
