More Brett Young More Brett Young

I don’t know about you, but when I received the news that Brett Young was finally set to tour Australia in 2025, I quite literally jolted out of bed like I’d been electrocuted on Christmas morning.

With the tour kicking off in May 2025 and hitting places like Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney, Rockhampton, and Brisbane, it’s pretty clear that Brett's bringing the heat as winter approaches—and we’re all here for it.

After selling out shows all over the world, there's no doubt he’ll be giving Aussie fans a show they won’t forget. So, with a blend of heartfelt ballads, romantic anthems, and catchy country pop, here are the top ten Brett Young tracks we’re dying to hear live.

Runnin’ Away From Home

A mellow but no less powerful track, Runnin’ Away From Home is one of those songs that makes you feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. With its beautiful lyrics and that signature Brett Young warmth, this track is a perfect reminder of what really matters: those moments when you return to the place where you truly belong.

If this makes it into the set, expect the crowd to be fully in the moment, reflecting on their own journeys and feeling that sense of home and belonging. I predict it will be a special, quiet moment. One where no one has to think; they just know.

Long Way Home

You might not expect it, but Long Way Home is one of those hidden gems that deserves to be heard live. Originally featured on the Father Stu movie soundtrack, this one’s a slow build with a ton of emotional weight. It's perfect for that reflective, intimate moment in the show where you can really feel the depth of Brett’s songwriting.

The emotional pull of this track will resonate with anyone who’s had to take the long road to find peace. It’s got a rare kind of power that’ll leave the crowd in contemplative silence before exploding into thunderous applause.

You Didn’t

This is Brett’s current single off his latest album, Weekends Look A Little Different These Days, and it’s a total gem. With its personal, raw lyrics and infectious chorus, I’m betting this one becomes a staple of the tour. The personal lyrics hit deep, but the infectious chorus will have you singing your heart out right along with him. I can’t wait to see Young bring this one to life on stage. I marked the track upon my first listening of the album, and I cannot wait to see the effect it has on audiences.

Sleep Without You

If you’ve ever been in a relationship (or even just had a fleeting moment of wanting to be in one), this track hits different. It feels relatable from all corners of a relationship. It’s got that perfect balance of romantic and catchy, and it’s been a 2x Platinum hit for a reason. The chorus is ridiculously infectious, and I can already picture the crowd shouting along to every word. This one’s going to be an instant crowd favourite that brings everyone together for one big, fun sing-along moment.

Lady

If you haven’t gotten emotional to Lady yet, are you even human? This is Brett’s beautiful love letter to his daughter, and it’s simply pure magic. It’s impossible not to be moved by the tenderness and raw emotion behind it.

If this song makes it into the setlist (and it should), expect the whole venue to be wiping away a few tears by the end of it. The love and connection on display here are next level, and Brett’s performance will have us all feeling those heartstrings pulled.

Catch

This one might be a little more playful than the rest of the songs on the list, but it’s guaranteed to get the crowd moving. Upbeat, flirty and full of life, it’s got that vibe that makes you want to dance. It’s also incredibly easy to sing along to and hard not to smile while doing it.

You may also take notice of Young’s vocal control during the performance. Showing both restraint and timing, the song showcases Young’s ability to be carefree yet controlled in the same hearty tone. In truth, this is the song that’ll have you grinning from ear to ear.

Here Tonight

If you haven’t heard Here Tonight yet, you need to go on a streaming service and listen to it right now. With its mix of romantic yearning and pure energy, it’s one of those tracks that feels tailor-made for a live performance.

Conjuring a delicate recipe of emotion within your head, the song makes you feel like you’re a part of something greater. Arm in arm with the stranger next to you, Here Tonight will leave you feeling swept up in the magic.

Like I Loved You

Get ready for a crowd sing-along on this one. Like I Loved You is an anthem for anyone who has been in love and anyone who has ever had their heart broken. It’s puzzle pieces of heartbreak left on the floor. Equal parts catchy and emotional, there’s something about Brett’s voice in this song that makes it stand taller. His voice soars over that infectious chorus and it just makes it one of those songs that’s nearly impossible not to belt out.

Mercy

There’s something about the way Young pours his heart into Mercy that makes it stand slightly taller than the rest. Mercy is a 4x Platinum track that blends country rawness with a pop sheen. It’s perfectly placed for a moment later in the show, where the audience is primed to dip into their emotions. I guarantee you will be able to feel the tension in the room as the intro builds.

If you’ve heard Mercy—and I’m pretty sure you have—then you know why it’s here. There’s something about the way Young sings “Mercy, mercy,” and with that haunting vulnerability? You can literally feel it in your chest.

In Case You Didn’t Know

Come on, this one is a no-brainer. It’s the song that really put Young on the map, and let’s face it, we all know the lyrics by heart. So simple, yet so powerful, it’s the kind of song that everyone can connect with. Whether you’re in love or just reminiscing about a love of times past, you will be sure to feel something.

Seeing this one performed live will be a completely otherworldly experience, too. In the split second the first “In case you didn’t know” hits, the entire crowd will be on their feet. If this isn’t the opener, I don’t know what to tell you—everyone’s going to feel a little robbed.

Brett Young will tour Australia in May 2025. You can find tickets via Brett Young’s and the Live Nation website.
