Just days away from landing in Australia for sold-out headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and at CMC Rocks, global country superstar Morgan Wallen has released his incredible new 36 song album “One Thing At A Time”.

Ahead of the album release, Morgan Wallen caught up with Johnno Keetels from The All Country Podcast for an exclusive interview to discuss the making of the record.

“I’m proud that we got to expand our horizons a little bit, with some new sounds and new subjects. Trying to grow, trying to branch out, while not forgetting everything that’s gotten me to this point. I think we’ve been able to accomplish that with this album…”

Wallen’s 2021 album, the 30 song Dangerous: The Double Album has sold over 7 million copies globally, while garnering over 13 billion streams to date. It is a chart record breaker, spending 10 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard US Top 200. Dangerous: The Double Album remains in the Top 10 on the Billboard US Top 200 Albums Chart, for a record-breaking 106 weeks (and counting). Wallen’s faith in his fanbase to consume such a large volume of music is not totally lost on the Tennessee native.

“When we put out Dangerous, that felt more risky to me than this one, because it was unheard of at that point.  But seeing the success of that album paved the way for me to do it again. I wasn’t forced to do it again, if the music wasn’t right, if I didn’t feel inspired, if I was getting tired of making music like that, I wouldn’t have done it. But I’ve been having a blast, I love being in the studio.”

After last playing shows in Australia in 2019 at CMC Rocks and opening for fellow US heavy-hitters Thomas Rhett and Florida Georgia Line, Wallen is excited to be coming back in mid-March.

“We feel like we made a good impact there, and we made a true connection with the fans. So when we decided that we were going to branch out and do some headline shows, Australia was a no-brainer and was at the top of our list.”

As has been widely publicized, Wallen’s life hasn’t been totally smooth-sailing since the release of Dangerous: The Double Album, but he told The All Country Podcast that there’s been one shining light in his journey of personal growth and success.

“I think the birth of my Son is the main thing. I’ve always been a little bit of a wild-card, I never really knew what I was completely living for all the time. So I think him being born really changed a lot of things for me. It put a lot of things in perspective, it gave me something to live for, to care for, and I’m looking at the world through a different lense because of him, and I’ve got to say it’s a better lense than the one I was looking through before. I’m proud of that, proud of him. I’m really thankful for that little guy.”

Morgan Wallen “One Thing At A Time” is released today, and is available to buy and stream now.
