We caught up with SixForty1 to find out what songs they’re listening to this December for this week’s Christmas edition of Front Deck Boom Box.

More SixForty1 More SixForty1

Nashville-based pop-country duo, SixForty1 (Brooks Hoffman and Austin Gee) originally formed when the two met at Murray State, in Kentucky. Since then, the band’s goal was to bring people together, through their music, as does highway 641, the band’s namesake.

Since making the move to Nashville in 2018, the two have managed to create quite a buzz. Through a series of independent releases over the last three years, SixForty1 has already made waves in the streaming world. They released their sophomore EP, Started Right Here in October, which contains the tracks Bad, Me and Your Memory, Started Right Here, Never Gets Old, Not Me Missing You and the summertime anthem, All Night.

The group has found early success and fandom, touring with several acts including Brantley Gilbert, Eli Young Band, Michael Ray, Walker Hayes and Niko Moon among others.

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town – Frank Sinatra

Austin: One of the all-time classics. This song instantly puts me in the holiday spirit, and we go straight to watching Elf. You don’t want to be a cotton headed ninny muggin.

Blue Christmas – Elvis Presley

Austin: My Grandparents would have the Elvis Christmas album on repeat every year. It was our ritual growing up to sit in the living room and drink eggnog while listening to the record all the way through. Now every time I hear this song, I go back to that place.

Angel at the Top of My Tree – Kenny Chesney

Brooks: I was a big Kenny Chesney fan growing up. I remember my dad jamming this one on repeat. We've always had Christmas music playing in our kitchen during the holidays, so when I hear it, it takes me back.

All I Want For Christmas Is You – Mariah Carey

Brooks: Hard to go wrong with this one. This has become a key part of my Christmas playlist rotation over the years. As a kid getting picked up from school, my mum would have this cranked as soon as Halloween was over.

The Christmas Vacation theme song

This is a nice one, Clark! From one of the best Christmas movies ever made, this one is a feel-good jam. Doesn't put me in the holiday feels, just motivates me to drink too much eggnog.
