Central Coast-based rising artist, Ella Powell is the perfect blend of country, pop and folk. She recently released her latest catchy country pop single. With the collaboration from multi-award-winning producer Matt Fell and musicians in Nashville, Drive is the ultimate summer song.

The upbeat, toe tapping rhythm and bright lyrics will have you wanting to hit the road for the ultimate road trip! The accompanying music video, which premieres today exclusively on Countrytown, captures that same spirit. Shot on the Central Coast at pizza and wine restaurant BamVino, Iris Lodge Alpacas and more, the video was shot by Cameron Craig.

Ella says, "Drive is one of my favourites yet - upbeat, fun and very energetic! The music video will have you ready to pack your bags and set off on the ultimate summer roadtrip!"

Ella has already made an impressive mark in the Australian Music Industry at the tender age of seventeen. Creating a unique blend of country, pop and folk, fans of Jewel, Taylor Swift and Kelsea Ballerini will connect with Ella’s storytelling ability, honest lyrics and powerful vocals.

Her passion for country pop was cemented after winning ‘People's Choice Award’ out of over 400 artists at the prestigious Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2019. Ella has grown up on the stage and supported numerous artists as well as performing alongside some of the biggest names in country music, including Adam Harvey at the Country Turns Pink Fundraiser.

In 2020, Ella’s sold-out headlining concert followed by the release of her debut single, Watching Over Me gained international attention, being streamed in dozens of countries and radio stations nationwide. Drive follows a slew of single releases – Come And Go (2020), Somebody (2021), Paper Town (2021), Side Effects (2022) and Along The Way (2022).

The latter was added onto Spotify’s ‘Fresh Country’ playlist as well as Apple Music’s ‘Aussie Country’ playlist, along with being the 12th most streamed song on Australian Radio on release week. Paper Town also earned Ella the CCMA ‘National Junior Songwriter of the Year’ winner. She continues to work with Matt Fell on more of her singles, with a debut EP on the horizon.

Ella will launch Drive on Friday, November 4 at Terrigal Surf Life Saving Club. Supported by special guests Toby Wells and Abigail Butler, the full band show is set to be full of music, stories and a whole lot of laughs – and is not to be missed! Tickets available here.
