Luke Bryan & Luke Combs - Finders Keepers
Without a doubt, the idea of a double-Luke duet grabbed our attention immediately, and this one’s everything we were hoping for and more. It’s got girls, beer, a cranking guitar solo, and both Lukes at their finest. What more could you ask for to kick off a country music party?
Abbie Ferris - Choosin’ Tonight
Abbie has had a string of singles across the last few years, steadily improving and dropping two EPs. Originally from South Australia, she’s tried her hand at Australian Idol, played a bunch of festivals, and continued to do all the right things. This one’s the best roll of the dice yet and is the perfect jam for the weekend.
Orville Peck - Run Out Of Road
There’s something about Orville Peck’s voice that we could just listen to 24 hours a day and never get sick of. Part Elvis, part Orbison, he’s got one of the most intriguing stories in country. Whether it’s the mask, the celebration of his sexuality, his struggles with addiction, or just the fantastic tunes, he’s been like a magnet of curiosity for us since his 2019 debut Pony, and his latest LP Mule continues the story today.
Elizabeth Nichols - Nice Girl
I wish Elizabeth Nichols would put more space between tunes because it feels guilty to pop her in the list track after track, but when they’re this good, it’s hard to ignore. Nice Girl is a perfect tune for 2026, capturing the mood and reflecting life as only she can.
Jade Eagleson & Midland - Coming Soon To A Honky Tonk Near You
Canadian baritone Jade Eagleson is back, and this banger with Midland is his first with Nashville’s BBR. An absolute superstar in his homeland, this multi-CCMA winner is ready for some flowers across the world, and this one could be the track to do it.
Mak & Shar - Drink You Up
I caught these guys live recently and they are a great time. Four singles deep this year alone, these guys know work ethic and the continual improvement is paying off. Drink You Up should be the banger that makes you stand up and take notice.
Kesha Neve - Ain’t Right, Right Now
Winner of this year’s Australian Idol, sometimes the constant stream of reality contestants can get predictable, but this is the tune Kesha needed to snap the industry to action. This one’s a genuinely accomplished mid-tempo ballad that’s been exquisitely produced. Her voice floats effortlessly through the breezy melody and the track is an incredible leap forward from everything that’s come before. Kesha Neve just arrived.
Laci Kaye Booth - Hell Or Highwater
It’s album week for Laci, and this banger is a great reminder to go check out the whole LP. With hits like Luck of the Draw and Ethereal Redneck Shit already peeled off the record, it’s a great listen from beginning to end.
Stephen Wilson Jr - Cornerman
This is a reminder of how good country music really can be. It’s about as far from pop country as the genre gets, drawing you in with an aesthetic and mood that takes you away to a whole new world. Exploring the loss of his father, this is an incredible listen. It grabs your attention and refuses to let go for its near five emotional minutes. Art.
Ally Row - Adeline
Gippsland duo Alice Fitzgerald and Rowan Sizer emerged in 2021 and have released a dozen or so tracks since. We caught them at BIGSOUND and this brand-new drop is worth being the new band you check out this week. It’ll have you stomping through the weekend.
