CountryTown in partnership with iHeartCountry Australia is proud to announce Miranda Lambert as our Artist Of The Week. The American singer-songwriter has just been announced as a duel performer at the upcoming ACM Awards, where she’s up for five awards, including ‘Female Artist of the Year’.
Lambert will be joined on stage by fellow Texans Jack Ingram and Jon Randall, both of whom are past collaborators, to sing a song off their upcoming The Marfa Tapes album, as well as Exes and Ohs pop-star, Elle King in a performance of Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home).
Talking about the upcoming May 7th album release, Lambert said, “They’re raw. You can hear the wind blowing, the cows mooing… We wanted you to feel like you were right there with us, sitting around the campfire, escaping the world, disappearing into the music.”
Lambert’s last studio album was her GRAMMY award-winning Wildcard, released in late 2019, which includes her number one single, Bluebird. As well as being one of many artists featured on Barry Gibb's duet's album, Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook Vol. 1, she previously collaborated with Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town and Maren Morris.

Outside of her solo career, Lambert is a member of the Pistol Annies formed in 2011, alongside Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. The trio released the albums Hell of Hells (2011), Annie Up (2013) and the ‘Best Country Album’ GRAMMY nominated Interstate Gospel (2018), and featured on the number one single, Boys ‘Round Here by Blake Shelton. The 37-year-old is also set to open a honky tonk bar in Nashville’s Lower Broadway tourist district and has launched a new exclusive line of pet food and treats in collaboration with her non-profit, MuttNation.
