10 Must See Shows At The 2025 Tamworth Country Music Festival
The 53rd Tamworth Country Music Festival kicks off tomorrow! To celebrate we thought we would spotlight a few shows for your consideration in no particular order.

While we wish we could attend every single show at the Tamworth Country Music Festival it's just not possible! There are too many incredible shows to highlight but here’s a few we think you should add to your list if you can!
1. Toyota Star Maker

The future of Australian country music is in good hands. The top 10 finalists Briana Dinsdale, Bryce Sainty, Cait Jamieson, Ella Powell, Felicity Dowd, Felicity Kircher, Finnian Johnson, James Keith, Kaitlyn Thomas and Teak battle it out for the title of 45th Toyota Star Maker. Each artist will perform 2 songs each in an effort to win the crown. Last year’s recipient Wade Forster has had an exceptional year
2. Tori Forsyth - All We Have Is Who We Are Show
The Tamworth Hotel - Wednesday 22nd at 10pm
Support from Dear Tommie
Receiving her first ARIA nomination in 2024 for her third studio album All We Have Is Who We Are, Forsyth has truly honed in on her artistry and live show. Not afraid to step outside the box, Forsyth and her band leave nothing on the table. It’s electric, grungy, with meticulously woven in softer moments. From start to finish you will be captivated by this performance.
3. James Johnston - One Night Only
Tamworth Town Hall - Friday 24th at 7:00pm
Support from Tyla Rodrigues
James Johnston is arguably one of the most sought after artists in country music in Australia. His Town Hall show this year represents a full circle moment for Johnston who began busking outside the Tamworth Town Hall so many years ago. Teaming up with rising superstar Tyla Rodrigues who recently completed a tour with Texas star Dylan Gossett, these two will no doubt create an unforgettable night.
4. KIX Live In The Park
Toyota Park - Thursday 23rd at 7:00pm
One of the biggest line-ups in Toyota Park, featuring James Johnston, Zac & George, Taylor Moss, Denvah, Abbie Ferris and Robbie Mortimer and a few surprise guests you can guarantee you’re going to get one hell of a show! The best part is it’s completely free! So head on down to Toyota Park on Thursday night to catch all the action
5. Troy Cassar-Daley - The Songs That Shaped Me
TRECC - Thursday 23rd at 4pm
Nominated for 6 Golden Guitar awards this year, 2025 marks 30 years since Cassar-Daley’s first release Beyond the Dancing. It’s rare to find a story-teller as seasoned and dynamic as Cassar-Daley, and this show is bound to be like no other during the 53rd Tamworth Country Music Festival.
6. Lane Pittman - Mayhem On A Monday
The Longyard Hotel - Monday 20th at 3:30pm
Nominated for Best New Talent and Male Artist at this year’s Golden Guitar awards, Pittman is no doubt a force to be reckoned with. Whether playing in a sold out stadium or at the local pub, Pittman lights up the stage and commands your attention. Marking the occasion with an exclusive souvenir t-shirt, if you’re lucky enough you may be able to nab one of the very limited run at his only TCMF 2025 show.
7. Toyota Golden Guitar Awards
TRECC - Saturday 25th from 5:00pm
Hosted by James Johnston and Max Jackson the 53rd Golden Guitar Awards are set to be the pinnacle night of the festival. Who will get to take home a shiny trophy for their pool room? Not too much longer until we find out. 16 awards, 13 performances, 1 red carpet, the glitz and glam plus plenty of good times is set to be cranked up to 10.
8. Dylan Wright - Only Tamworth Show
Moonshiners - Friday 24th at 4:00pm
Support from Mack Geiger
Winner of Australian Idol Dylan Wright takes on his first headlining show at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. His soulful and powerhouse vocals are unmatched. Scoring a debut #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Album Chart for his Half The World Away EP, you’ll no doubt hear a few songs from the EP, covers from Idol and even a couple of Sons Of Atticus tunes - from Dylan’s side project with best friend Matt Joyce. This show will be a journey
9. Craig Wayne Boyd - Honky Tonk Late Nights
Wests Legends Lounge - 18th - 22nd at 10:30pm
Direct from the USA, Craig Wayne Boyd returns to Australia after a successful Roos And Brews tour in 2024, for the 53rd Tamworth Country Music Festival to once more wow audiences with his authentic American honky tonk shows back down under. Boyd was the winner of The Voice USA season 7 where he competed on team Blake Shelton.
10. The Buckleys & Friends - Family Jam Night
The Press Basement Bar - Friday 24th at 6pm
Support from Briana Dinsdale
The Buckleys are always having a blast on stage! Their electric live show always has the crowd up and dancing on their feet. No doubt the list of surprise guest artists will be top notch seeing last year’s extensive list included KINGSWOOD, Casey Barnes, Lee Kernaghan, Fanny Lumsden and Felicity Urquhart.
