With nothing but a guitar and a stack of brutally honest songs, Conner Smith is about to release his most personal project yet.

Smith was charged with a misdemeanour traffic offence for failing to yield, which resulted in a tragedy last July.

"My heart is broken in a way I’ve never experienced, and I still struggle to fully process the weight of it all," Smith wrote to fans.

“Mr. Smith continues to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation," Conner Smith's lawyer said in a statement following the incident.
